1. The NCAA Tournament and UC San Diego
Starts at 1:00
Michigan is your Big Ten Tournament champions! There was a lot of doom and gloom at the end of the regular season so not many people saw this happening. Michigan might be the most boned team in the tournament draw. Wisconsin is an 18 point favorite against Montana, Michigan is a 3 point favorite over UC San Diego. UCSD is clearly a top 50 team but they can't match up with Michigan's Bigs. Get familiar with the name Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones (in pronunciation and basketball production). The Tritons give up a ton of threes. Yale is a popular upset pick over Texas A&M, TAMU's thing is missing shots but rebounding them. Who would you rather play, TAMU or Yale? That's a tougher question than it would seem. Clearly the results of the Big Ten Tournament don't matter because Michigan is seeded like it didn't happen.

2. Men's Basketball vs Wisconsin

The shooting percentages in this game were... ugly. Wisconsin had good looks but just couldn't hit them. Goldin seemed absolutely gassed this game. L.J. Cason really helped bail out Michigan. Michigan only had eight turnovers! But missed on the boards.
3. Hot Takes and Men's Basketball vs Maryland

Takes hotter than your Big Ten Champion Michigan Wolverine Football Basketball team. This is one of the worst officiating games we can remember. Roddy Gayle had a great game... and MADE A THREE. He only had nine points but that level of production is what Michigan needs. The final play was a football play in its design.
4. Men's Basketball vs Purdue
Starts at 1:14:01
A nice bounce back game that happens from taking care of the ball. Why does everyone want to kick Goldin in the nuts? Purdue gets more goonish when they're tired and they were coming off a tough game against USC. Michigan wasn't turning the ball over and was assisting well for each other, this was the Dusty May team we love to see. Michigan gets the night game on Thursday and will be played at 5,280 feet. Please fly over right now and get acclimated, you're invited to sleep on my couch (IT'S A NICE COUCH, SETH). It may be a 50/50 chance we preview Auburn next week.

No team is ever truly safe in the Big Dance...everyone has to show up and win the game on the court. A 12 beats a 5 almost every year.

yeah idk im tired of all this bitching about seeding and rankings. guys, it's not a secret, they just rank and seed based on media revenues or as a tie-breaker they pick some teams based on how eye-catching the espn headlines they scanned were.
it's a joke, it's been a joke for decades, just win the games.

Was about to agree with you that I'm tired of the complaining about seeding. But it's clearly more about arbitrary basketball related metrics than media revenues and headlines - we're one of the biggest media draws and a have a 7 foot guard everyone loves to write about. Under those terms we should be advantaged

sure man, that's probably true, but at the end of the day we're getting worked up trying to understand how a broken system works. There's no point in complaining about it. Literally no selector ever got a single bad consequence ever for making bad tournament selections in basketball or in football for that matter. They're not gonna change a thing unless the tv companies have an idea on how to make more money.
We got in, now the challenge is to win six games in a row. Everything else about seeding and rankings is just nonsense.

what the hell are you talking about? i'm not allowed to express that i feel tired about a topic?
There's zero negative consequences for getting it wrong and zero incentive for getting it right. No accountability at all, so what good comes out complaining about it? These committees are gonna keep pulling rankings out of their ass, next year's rankings will be deeply flawed as well, and the year after that too.
All we can do is look at the next matchup and support our team. Unless you know about any protests being planned against these incompetent selectors, then I would be interested in joining.

UC San Diego gets to play at 7 pm their time but at least they're coming from sea level to do it. They also don't start a player over 6'8. I feel okay.

Can't believe y'all didn't bring up the and-1 on Tre's Maryland winner. Going to call that ish on Rubin on the perimeter but nothing when Tre getting an actual shot up.
